As Director of Product, Sam draws on a deep background in the semiconductor industry, including applications engineering, product and strategic marketing roles in San Jose, Taipei, and the greater China region. After a short stint in investment banking and a year launching a start-up out of a joint partnership between Northwestern University and Argonne National Lab, Sam started his product management career in the solar industry, managing hardware and software products through various stages of development and product life cycles. One of his major achievements was managing the partnership between Sunrun and retail giant Costco, which now accounts for a significant portion of Sunrun’s business. Sam holds Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a combined MBA and M.S. in Engineering Management from Northwestern University.
