C-STORE DIVE – As of early March, Loop’s leadership team was in the process of building two EV chargers in the forecourt of its first Poppy Market location in Arbuckle, California. The structural groundwork had been laid, and Loop CEO Varish Goyal and his team were collecting grant funding for the actual chargers, he said at the time.
Although Loop only has immediate plans for its first six charging stations, the company expects to deploy more throughout its store network moving forward, the spokesperson said. In the announcement, Goyal noted the importance of today’s zero-emission translation and the company’s aim to lower its carbon footprint moving forward.
“We are most excited to integrate FreeWire’s leading edge Boost Chargers into our Loop locations, helping our customers save time while being more energy efficient,” Goyal said in the announcement.
